Our lodges in Cotswold Water Park provide the perfect base to explore the cotswolds and with our food and drinks guide now live we are beginning to put together quite a comprehensive guide for our little area. Its great to just chill and relax in the lodges, however, its nice to get out and about and see what the area has to offer.

The difficulty is just how will you get all this done in a short break because there is so much to see and do!

Jacks Tea Room & Kitchen, who are open 7 days a week, offer a selection of tasty treats and artisan coffees, as well as a modern brunch menu like no other! Set on a stunning Cotswold cobbled street in the heart of Cirencester and they have the perfect setting for a lazy weekend brunch or a coffee & cake break which are exceptional!

The Potting Shed is one of our favourite dog friendly pubs
The fleece - located in the high street in Cirencester

The Potting Shed

Championing beautiful food made from the finest locally sourced ingredients and seasonal produce. Creative, British, Seasonal and their menus change to reflect the best of seasonal produce and they are dog friendly to boot! One of our favourite places for an afternoon lunch and drink!

The Fleece in Cirencester

They are focusing on the feel-good factor and provide food that is genuinely lovely with lots of it. Good traditional meals with big, fat sausages and chunky chips that are properly thick. I can’t help dribbling just typing this!

Tierra and Mar server excellent Tapas!
The award winning Malt and Anchor can be found in Cirencester town centre

Tierra and Mar

Tapas typically consists of small dishes served with a drink, however, tapas can also be a variety of larger dishes set in the centre of the table for your party to share. We love this place and they are  just on the outskirts of the town but easy to get to and well worth the trip into Cirencester.

Malt and Anchor Cirencester

Malt & Anchor is an award-winning British restaurant and takeaway situated in the heart of the Cotswolds. They are located in Cirencester and serve only the freshest produce to the highest standards. What’s not to like about fish and chips but fish and chips from an award winning restaurant along with a glass of prosecco or a beer is just the best thing ever!

Avocado and egg on toast - can’t be beaten as a breakfast!
Well presented great food!

Igloo Cirencester

Igloo restaurant on castle street cirencester is a family run, family owned restaurant. The menu has been created with fresh food and locally sourced products in mind. We found this place only recently but absolutely loved the vibe and the food was just exceptional. Great service as well!

The Falcon at Poulton

The Falcon Inn is just that. A traditional British country dining pub with a focus on locally brewed cask ales, an interesting wine list and classic English dishes that will draw customers back again and again. We love the Falcon, having been there many times – little bit of fine dining which makes that occasion just a bit special. Great service, great food and great beer!

Lakeside Brasserie

Our menu offers a selection of dishes using locally sourced produce wherever possible. Favourites include spicy sizzling fajitas, traditional wood fired Italian pizzas, handmade salads, plus our fantastic Jesse Smith’s burgers with a variety of toppings! One of our regular stopping off points as its our local but you really have to try their weekend breakfasts!

Don’t forget to check out our other pages on things to do in the area!

With our food and drinks guide now live we’ll be looking to add to it as we visit other great places around the cotswolds.
