Full Description

Set in a 50-acre private eco-reserve adjacent to The Cotswold Water Park in South Cerney, near Cirencester, Gloucestershire, Pond Lodge is a stunning two-bedroom property designed for privacy and tranquillity and overlooks Horseshoe Pond.

It is a light, airy open-plan space beautifully furnished in sophisticated simplicity with bursts of bold colour. From the private deck, guests can discover the joys of birdsong at dawn and sensational star gazing at night. Within its walls are a well-equipped kitchen, a spacious living/dining room, and hardwood floors throughout. There’s a cosy wood burner with an inexhaustible supply of logs for warming nights in.

Two pristine lakes and an untamed reserve make up the grounds. These valuable wetlands offer sensational wildlife spotting for bats, wildfowl, mammals, fish, dragonflies, damselflies, butterflies, and other invertebrates. While these verdant surroundings make it tempting to do nothing but wander the paths through woods and alongside the lakes and river, there is plenty to explore further afield. After all, this is the Cotswolds, the largest Area of Outstanding Beauty in England and Wales.

Pond Lodge is not on the carp lake as are the one-bed lodges but actually sits overlooking Horseshoe Pond. This lodge has decking over the small pond and is joined with the carp lake but the water is not deep so fishing from this Lodge is not suitable but plenty of pegs are available around the lake for fishing.

We try not to impose too many rules but please be aware that the homes are intended to be private and therefore care needs to be taken when walking around the lake to avoid disturbing other guests.

Please park cars in bays marked for that purpose. Each home has a lay-by on Wildmoorway Lane just by each of the lodges but if you are concerned at leaving your car on the lane then talk to us about parking at Pond Gate where you will have a short walk to your lodge.

Only 2 guests per lodge is permitted except for Pond where there are 4 guests and Little Horseshoe lodge which is designed for families.
