Our favourite things to do

Have a go water skiing...

Lakeside Ski and Wake

Lakeside Ski and Wake has been one of our consistently favourite places since we first started coming to the area. It has a bit of everything its a sports bar showing most of the big events on large screens It has skiing and wakeboarding plus inflatables Excellent bar and friendly staff Always serves a great breakfast! popular with locals option for inside or outside dining A lot of our guests finish their holidays here with a big breakfast before hitting the road or alternatively if you get their a little early then a late lunch helps pass the time before check in!

Try some lunch at ...

Lakeside Brasserie

Our menu offers a selection of dishes using locally sourced produce wherever possible. Favourites include spicy sizzling fajitas, traditional wood fired Italian pizzas, handmade salads, plus our fantastic Jesse Smith’s burgers with a variety of toppings!

Grab a coffee and cake at ....

The Lodge at Lake 12

The lodge at lake 12 is one of our favourite stopping off points at the end (or even the start) of a busy day on the lake. I can certainly vouch for their oat milk flat white and flapjacks having had them numerous times whilst getting our lodges ready for guests. The log fire in the cafe was something of a magnet during a cold winter. The lodge has only been around for a couple of years – slightly delayed during COVID but now a regular hive of activity. It has both indoor and outdoor seating and is dog friendly inside and out. The seating outside provide some great views across their lake and there is nothing quite like seeing those colourful sails billowing out across the lake. The lodge has great coffee, friendly staff and serves a variety of snacks, cakes and sandwiches. They now also provide a street food menu which is worth trying – basically its different foods from around the world There is plenty of parking and you will find an eclectic group of customers there from locals, dog walkers, cyclists, water sport enthusiasts and many, many more.,

House Rules

We try to flexible and not to put too many constraints on our guests but we are also committed to looking after our homes.

We welcome up to 2 pets in Serenity Lodge but talk to us about your plans. Always let us know if you plan to bring pets (there is a small charge per pet) as we need to factor it into our cleans. We do not allow pets into the bedrooms and particularly onto beds. We recognise that keeping pets off the furniture is a challenge so you will find throws available to use please

No parties, hen nights or stag nights – this really isn’t the place for loud parties as many of the homes on this lake are occupied by year round residents. Unfortunately due to a number of past experiences we do not allow all male occupancy of our homes. Sorry guys!

And that’s really it – tell us about breakages so that we can replace where necessary. Larger damage and specialist cleaning we will need to discuss with you if necessary.

We just ask that you treat our home with respect and that you consider our neighbours when you are on the decking in particular as sound does travel a lot further over water.

A wonderful and cozy place, a nice spacious house and a view of the lake from the hot tub and the upper balcony - something wonderful. easy operation of the heating system and the entire house in general. A large number of kitchen items and, above all, board games which I did not expect there.

Stayed for my birthday weekend with family and friends and my dog. Great location with beautiful surroundings. House was perfect for what we wanted and a lovely chocolate cake awaited. We enjoyed the games provided to.
I would certainly recommend this property and may return in the future.

Amazing house! Lovely weekend stay for 5 uni friends. Lots of do but as it was winter time we took advantage of the hot tub and chilled out inside. Lovely walk on the Saturday with a lovely local pub close by.
The lake is gated and has residence on as well as rentals.
Would 100% come back.
