Beauty and Holistic Therapies

Beauty and Holistic Therapies We have a long association with Beth at Beauty and Holistic therapies, mostly because Jo tends to make use of her services on a regular basis, ensuring that the appropriate standards are maintained for guests (she says!). After a near 10 year association we can certainly recommend Beth. The difference with Beth is that she will visit our homes and provide the treatment in the lodges – great for a girls weekend! Speak to her about packages – they do a whole range from groups to singles to couples and have always provided a first class service to our previous guests. Check out her contact form here or email her directly at [email protected]. You can contact Beth directly and make a booking for your lodge or alternatively, speak to us and we’ll sort it for you!

Broadway

Nestled in the English county of Worcestershire, Broadway, “The Jewel of the Cotswolds,” is an enchanting village steeped in history and beauty. This scenic paradise dates back over 5,000 years, with its historical allure rooted in its past as a bustling stagecoach stop between Worcester and London. The real magic of the village, however, lies in the 16th to 18th-century buildings that line its streets, giving Broadway an irresistible historical charm. Beyond its architectural allure, Broadway carries an impressive artistic heritage. In the late 19th century, it became a hub for the arts and crafts movement, drawing painters, musicians, writers, and actors from around the world. The legacy of this creative past is celebrated annually with the Broadway Arts Festival, a vibrant display of the village’s cultural spirit. Among the many notable sights in Broadway, the Broadway Tower stands out. This 65-foot tall beacon, designed by Capability Brown and erected for Lady Coventry in 1798-99, offers panoramic views across as many as 16 counties on a clear day. This architectural gem offers a captivating glimpse into the past and an unbeatable vista of the English countryside. In the heart of the village lies the Broadway Museum and Art Gallery, home to a treasure trove of local history and art. Here, visitors can immerse themselves in an array of furniture, ceramics, paintings, and artifacts that tell the rich story of the Cotswolds. Close by, the Gordon Russell Design Museum pays tribute to Sir Gordon Russell, a pioneer in 20th-century design, showcasing his belief in design as a societal service. Broadway’s broad main street, from which the village gets its name, is a delightful spectacle in itself. Canopied by red chestnut trees, the street is lined with an eclectic mix of Tudor, Stuart, and Georgian buildings. These house a variety of art galleries, antique shops, restaurants, tea shops, and traditional British pubs, offering visitors a taste of the local life. Not far from the village, Snowshill Manor, a National Trust property, presents Charles Wade’s global collection of craftsmanship, another testament to the artistic spirit of the area. Nature lovers will be enchanted by the serene countryside that surrounds Broadway. The local footpaths are a walker’s dream, offering stunning landscapes, and the village is a great starting point for exploring the Cotswold Way, a national trail that runs along the Cotswold Edge escarpment. With its scenic beauty, historical charm, and friendly atmosphere, Broadway is a delightful destination for anyone visiting the Cotswolds.

House Rules

We try to flexible and not to put too many constraints on our guests but we are also committed to looking after our homes.

We welcome up to 2 pets in the Lake house but talk to us about your plans. Always let us know if you plan to bring pets (there is a small charge per pet) as we need to factor it into our cleans. We do not allow pets into the bedrooms and particularly onto beds. We recognise that keeping pets off the furniture is a challenge so you will find throws available to use please

No parties, hen nights or stag nights – this really isn’t the place for loud parties as many of the homes on this lake are occupied by year round residents. Unfortunately due to a number of past experiences we do not allow all male occupancy of our homes. Sorry guys!

And that’s really it – tell us about breakages so that we can replace where necessary. Larger damage and specialist cleaning we will need to discuss with you if necessary.

We just ask that you treat our home with respect and that you consider our neighbours when you are on the decking in particular as sound does travel a lot further over water.

A beautiful house in a peaceful location. Stayed here for our ‘mini moon’ after our wedding, and it definitely hit the brief! The right amount of luxury that still feels homely.
Everything was just perfect, had the best time.
My favourite part of the house- the hot tub on the decking overlooking the lake 👌🏻

Had a really nice time at this place. The house has quite unique architecture, with huge windows and an incredible view. The well-designed interior and lakeside area are stunning, and the height of the ceiling — uh, wish we had this at home! It feels very special and sets the right mood for relaxation. We had a lot of fun observing the local wildlife and using the hot tub.
