Try some Tapas at ....

La Bobina

La Bobina is one of our local favourites and we planned to keep visiting until we’d tried the whole menu but they keep changing it! La Bobina; the buzzing Spanish Tapas & Wine Bar located in the beautiful Black Jack Street in Cirencester. Bringing you a taste of the Spanish tapas bar culture to the Cotswolds. Eating and Drinking in a social and lively atmosphere; for couples in corners or large groups, enjoying and sharing tapas. Using the very best fresh ingredients, our chefs create and produce the best tapas outside of Spain. The menu is seasonal with weekly changing specials. Visit us, taste our tapas, try our Spanish Wines, enjoy a gin or two, a fresh cold Spanish Beer, listen to some funky music – you won’t be disappointed. Come and share our little piece of Spain in Cirencester.

Grab a coffee and cake at ...

The Lodge at Lake 12

The lodge at lake 12 is one of our favourite stopping off points at the end (or even the start) of a busy day on the lake. I can certainly vouch for their oat milk flat white and flapjacks having had them numerous times whilst getting our lodges ready for guests. The log fire in the cafe was something of a magnet during a cold winter. The lodge has only been around for a couple of years – slightly delayed during COVID but now a regular hive of activity. It has both indoor and outdoor seating and is dog friendly inside and out. The seating outside provide some great views across their lake and there is nothing quite like seeing those colourful sails billowing out across the lake. The lodge has great coffee, friendly staff and serves a variety of snacks, cakes and sandwiches. They now also provide a street food menu which is worth trying – basically its different foods from around the world There is plenty of parking and you will find an eclectic group of customers there from locals, dog walkers, cyclists, water sport enthusiasts and many, many more.,

Try some shooting at ...

Every lesson is exclusive for your group and we pride ourselves on tuition whilst having lot’s of fun! House Rules

We try to flexible and not to put too many constraints on our guests but we are also committed to looking after our homes.

We welcome up to 2 pets in Kingfisher Lodge but talk to us about your plans. Always let us know if you plan to bring pets (there is a small charge per pet) as we need to factor it into our cleans. We do not allow pets into the bedrooms and particularly onto beds. We recognise that keeping pets off the furniture is a challenge so you will find throws available to use please

No parties, hen nights or stag nights – this really isn’t the place for loud parties as many of the homes on this lake are occupied by year round residents. Unfortunately due to a number of past experiences we do not allow all male occupancy of our homes. Sorry guys!

And that’s really it – tell us about breakages so that we can replace where necessary. Larger damage and specialist cleaning we will need to discuss with you if necessary.

We just ask that you treat our home with respect and that you consider our neighbours when you are on the decking in particular as sound does travel a lot further over water.
