All the Fun of the Seaside

Whether it’s sandcastle-building, picnicking or hiring a pedalo, you can do all the traditional beach activities in the very heart of the Cotswolds. Open March to September, Cotswold Country Park and Beach has something for everyone, including a sandy beach with a swimming and paddling lagoon (supervised by lifeguards in peak season) where kids can play to their heart’s content while parents relax and enjoy the stunning views across South Lake. The beach-side adventure playgrounds also provide hours of fun for little ones.

The Cotswold-based beach is the UK’s largest inland beach and paddling lagoon, and all our properties are ideally located for a trip to this fantastic country park, so grab your towels and buckets and spades and head on over (online booking is advised during busy periods). Dogs are also welcome but are not permitted on the beach or children’s play parks or in the lake.

Water Sports Galore

For some awesome water fun, the giant inflatable AquaVenture course is a popular choice. Children aged 6 and over (6-10 year-olds must be accompanied by an adult) will love splashing, sliding and bouncing their way around the obstacles. There are morning family-friendly sessions for young families too.

Hire a boat or one of the park’s swan pedalos and take the family out on the lake for a pedal powered adventure, enjoy kayaking or paddleboarding, or stay on dry land for some mini golf or pedal go-karting.

BBQs, Ice Cream and Tasty Treats

Take your day out to another level and hire your own private BBQ at Cotswold Country Park and Beach. Choose a beach or lakeside spot, pitch up with friends and family and enjoy some great food cooked outdoors (click here for some sizzling BBQ recipes). You can even bring a small gazebo if the weather is looking a little unsettled.

Alternatively, bring your own picnic or try out the on-site Beach Shack Cafe, which offers a delicious take away menu with a range of drinks and tasty options including hotdogs and wraps, and of course, ice creams.
